Boston is a wonderful place in the summer. The college kids are gone, the sun is out, and the air is warm. No matter what you are looking for this summer, Boston has it. Here are 3 things you have to try this summer in Boston.

#1 Colonnade Roof Top Pool

Summer means pools, tans and frozen drinks. And the Roof Top Pool at the chic Colonnade Hotel in the Back Bay is the place for all three!

Whether you just want to relax and catch a tan on a sleepy afternoon, or you want to get your night going with some alfresco drinks, switch up your routine and head over to the RTP at the Colonnade.

In addition to spacious beach chairs, they also have private luxury cabanas you can reserve to really start the summer off like a VIP.

A day spent at the pool is a day well spent!

#2 A Boston Harbor Cruise

Fun for the whole family, a Boston Harbor Cruises trip is a great way to see Boston like you’ve never seen it before. Sit back and relax for one of their sightseeing cruises, I’ve tried the Historic Sightseeing Cruise and the USS Constitution Cruise and they are both so much fun.

Pro tips: 1) Sit outside on the top deck—best view and you’ll love the ocean air. 2) Check the weather before you plan your trip! This is a must because how else are you supposed to enjoy sitting on the top deck? 3) Really listen to the tour guides; they tell you interesting tid bits about all the major sights you pass.

Also, a harbor cruise is a great way to get some gorgeous Instas of the Boston skyline, just saying!

#3 BOND at the Langham

Every summer I make an effort to try out a restaurant that I have never been to before. Break out of your comfort zone and try something new once in a while, check out that place “you’ve heard so much about”. Whenever you go to a new city you probably do research on where all the hot spots are; why not take the same approach in your own backyard?

Recently, I tried BOND at the Langham Hotel. Located in the historical former Boston Federal Reserve building, now the Langham Hotel, BOND is a stylish downtown spot for dinner and drinks.

You will be impressed by the level of attention the wait staff offers you, as well as amount of care the kitchen puts into each plate. We started with the Wagyu Carpaccio, and a pan seared scallop appetizer.

And then for mains, we did the pan seared duck breast and the herb roasted chicken.

As a finale, we spoiled ourselves with a tray of beignets and a Baked Alaska.

So stylish, chic and delicious, we will definitely be back to BOND again this summer.
