With fall only a day away, we all need to start making the transition from summer. Time to put away the flip-flops and get out the ankle booties. While I do love the beach, sweater weather isn’t bad either! Here are a few things that I will be doing to get my closet, suitcase and body ready for autumn.

Closet

I have to be honest, as a summer lover, every September I do mourn the loss of 80 degree days, but what better way to get inspiration for a new season of fashion than College Fashion Week Boston, brought to us by Her Campus and InStyle? I’ll be attending this Saturday, on the look out for inspiration from local designers, including: Frill Clothing, Foray Collective, Ali & Ariel, My Social Canvas, and Bow & Drape.Screen Shot 2016-09-21 at 10.28.49 AM.pngThe College Fashion Week Boston event will be taking place this Saturday, September 24th from 6-9pm at Space 57 in the Revere Hotel. You can still get tickets; get them here before they sell out! Tweet at me if you do come, would love to meet any fellow Bostonians!

I am excited to attend, it will be my first Her Campus College Fashion Week and it should be a fun time! There are so many amazing sponsors that help make the event so much fun! There are fashion sponsors like: Rebecca Minkoff, Vince Camuto, Hanes + Maidenform and Bertha Watches. And there are also some other lifestyle and snack sponsors like Fitbit, Drybar, European Wax Center, Perfumania, KIND and Essie. The sponsors will be giving out samples and other goodies, so get your tickets now before they sell out! See you there!

Suitcase

As someone who travels constantly, I often find myself looking for the perfect something for upcoming trips. And when I can’t find what I’m looking for at my usual haunts, I head to 2nd Time Around on Newbury Street. 2nd Time Around is an upscale consignment boutique where you can find haute couture for 50%, 70% or even 90% off retail.

Whenever I have a big trip coming up, I always stop in to find something special that just makes the trip picture perfect. Check out these amazing Dior So Real sunglasses that I recently picked up! Oh an I have to also give a shout out to Moroccan Magic; I carry it with me everywhere. They aren’t kidding calling it magic–best lip balm I’ve ever tried.

Body

While changing fashions is probably the first thing we think of when we think of seasonal transitions, we need to also think about our bodies. The changing temperatures can have an effect on your health. With each new season I like to use the transition as an excuse to motivate myself to reevaluate my diet and habits. As we get used to a routine, we can sometimes slip into bad habits—especially in the summer! So one of the first things I’m doing to get ready for fall is juice cleanse from NativMade.

I first discovered NativMade when I was on Nantucket this summer, but they also have a South Beach location.

I recently did a 3 day juice cleanse, consisting of 5 juices per day. I’ve done a few juice cleanses in the past and I can honestly say that this was the tastiest, most rewarding of all that I’ve done. The juices were so tasty; my favorite was the “White Whale”. The varied flavors really make it an exciting process. I will definitely be turning to NativMade again whenever I feel I need another jumpstart!

So with fall almost here, don’t be sad summer’s ending, get excited for wearing sweaters and drinking PSLs, all while taking snaps of colorful trees—I know I am!

I did a juice cleanse once and was more full than I’d ever been from eating my regular food hah! I’m also mourning all my summer dresses being put away until next year but with this weather we’ve been having lately I don’t know if fall will ever come!!

That’s how I felt on other juice cleanses, but this one was so refreshing and light. Totally different experience!
