Parties: The Metropolitans’ 1925 Party

Boston’s Theater District is one of the most vibrant parts of the city; with dozens of theaters, clubs and restaurants, it is always full of life. So when I heard there was going to be a roaring-twenties-themed party in that neck of the woods, I just had to attend!

Hosted by the Metropolitans—the Citi Performing Arts’ young professional group—the 1925 Party was held on September 23rd. Guests embraced the spirit of Jay Gatsby and pulled out their fringed frocks, feathered headbands and pinstriped suits for an evening of cocktails, dancing and fun!

I don’t know about you, but whenever I attend a theme party, I just have to go all out! And I couldn’t have done it without Elle from G2O Spa and Salon; my faux bob was amazing!

I can’t think of a more appropriate manner to celebrate all the hard work that goes into the programing at the Citi Performing Arts Center. The venue was gorgeous; the Wang Theatre was such a fitting spot for this fabulous event! And the food, “giggle water” and music was just swell 😉

The Metropolitans work to “empower Boston’s brightest thinkers, doers and leaders to begin their relationship with the only performing arts center in town.” It is so amazing to see how they have gotten Millennials to become involved with the art and theater scene in Boston. For more information on The Metropolitans or to get involved please visit their website here.
