5 Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Winter in New England is cold and dark, but one bright light is all the fun seasonal fashion. Knit hats, wool scarves, big jackets, snow boots, these are all things that we can only wear this time of year and I have rounded up a few of my favorites that I have on repeat this season. Keep reading for my 5 winter wardrobe essentials for 2021.

1) Snow Boots

Moon Boots are a classic winter staple and I hopped on the band wagon after seeing everyone wear them in St. Moritz a few years ago and how stylish the locals made them look. They are super comfortable, come in so many colors and are super warm no matter how cold it is outside or how much snow you have to walk through. And I was shocked to learn that they are under $200! I have the classic Technica Boots in black, but I would love a pair in red and silver as well!

2) Winter Hats

If you run into me outside in Boston November – March, its likely I’ll be wearing a knit winter hat. If I don’t wear one, I get so cold! Anyone else? My favorite hat this winter is this adorably millennial pink knit beanie from the local brand, Wicked Dog Apparel. The Blush Waffle Knit Beanie is $35 and you can find it on their website!

3) Stylish Ski Outfits

Whether you are an expert skier or a complete newbie, if there was ever a year to up your ski outfit game, it is this year. We all deserve a little something special right now and I think the best way to do that is to get a one-piece ski suit! They are on trend, comfortable, warm and much more flattering than your classic snow pants, jacket combo. And trust me, everyone is wearing these in the Alps, if you sport one of these in New England you will look that much more fashion forward, and they are actually very practical! I bought this black one from ASOS, but I also have my eye on this one from Sweaty Betty.

4) Winter Essentials: Sweater Dresses

Need to look professional on Zoom, but want to stay cozy at home? Go for a sweater dress. You really can’t go wrong. You can easily dress them up or down depending on what you have planned for the day. I love this one from Staud for a dressier look and this one from Everlane for the perfect cozy look

5) Winter Essentials: The ‘Shacket’

Seems like the ‘shacket’ isn’t going anywhere so I decided finally give it a try! I snagged one of the last from the collab between H&M and Kangol, but they have so many other options online right now! Love this simple black one.
