We recently bought a 2021 Tesla Model Y and we are sharing our whole ownership experience on YouTube and our blog. Today we are talking accessories. We have tried out many different Tesla Accessories and we have put together this list of our top 10 Tesla Model Y accessories and link to them all below!
Tesla Model Y Mudflaps
They are one of our favorite exterior accessories for our Tesla. We installed the RPM Aftermarket mudflaps, as well as the Tesla OEM front mudflaps.
Wheel Cap Covers
We bought this Wheel Cap Kit from Amazon, which consisted of the lug covers with a small tool to remove the caps, and four center caps that are super easy to install by just popping them in. The black color of the kit’s lug covers looks interesting on the wheels, however the color of the center caps doesn’t quite match with the silver alloy of the wheels.
Front License Plate Mount
The Quick Bandit license plate mount has a unique design. The base of the mount lines up in the center of the grill, and by pulling a switch in the front part, it engages clips that are stabilized behind the bumper, making it solid and safe to use while driving
Tesla Floor Mats
These Tesmanian mats fit all areas of the car, including the front trunk, rear trunk and all areas of the footwells. Unfortunately, because Tesla changed the seat riser design for the Model Y, which is why our floor mats don’t cover the exterior corner of both the driver and passenger seat footwells perfectly. But there is Velcro underneath, so they are stable and don’t move around at all.
Tesla Model Y Sport Foot Pedal Covers
These are also Tesmanian and easy to install. All we had to do was remove the existing pedal covers, apply some heat on the new ones to make them easier to fit and pop them in. The rubber is a bit tough, so I highly recommend using a screwdriver to guide them on.
Phone Mount for 2021 Tesla Model Y
This Temai Phone Mount is a beautiful accessory that fits seamlessly with the dashboard, you clip it in to the vent area in front of the steering wheel and you just slide your phone in. You can find this on Amazon.
EZ Pass Cover & Mount
Similarly, our EZ Pass skin and mount fits perfectly on the window and blends in quiet nicely.
Center Console Box Tesla Model Y/3
Although the Tesla Model Y center console has a great matte finish, it just has a big pocket in the center to put your personal items. Which is why we ordered an accessory that slides in, offers an extra layer with different compartments, and helps us keep our center console organized. Order this center console tray on Amazon.
Spigen Anti Glare Tesla Screen Protector
This Spigen screen protector really minimizes any kind of glare and fingerprints on the screen and is also easy to install. Watch our full install here.
Public Charger Adapter Lock
It’s an amazing solution for locking your adapter on to the charger. You place it around the adapter and the charger, and once you place it into the charging port, you are not able to pull out the charging cable or disconnect the cable from the adapter. The only way to remove it is to unlock the charging port from your phone, remove the charging cable and then the lock, in order to release the adapter.
