Jamaica is accessible vis most major carriers either direct or via a stopover. We flew American and connected through Charlotte. Currently a negative COVID test is required to enter Jamaica, which must be taken within 72 hours of departing for your trip. Once you have that you are good to go, to enter Jamaica. Sandals offers COVID tests to all guests so that they are able to re-enter the United States without issue.
Visiting Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica
Sandals is known for providing a consistent all-inclusive experience. They cater to the traveler looking to leave all their worries at home and just relax on their trip. We had a butler suite so our butler took care of our dinner reservations, beach chairs and more. I highly recommend going for one on the butler suites so you have this help during your trip.
Our suite had direct access to the beach and we got to enjoy some amazing sunsets right from our private patio.
What to Do at Sandals
Of course, you’ll want to save plenty of time for the beach and the pool, but also be sure to sign up for an excursion or two! Jamaica is an amazing country and it is so much fun experiencing it first-hand. We signed up for the Mini Routes tour of Montego Bay & the Martha Brae Rafting experience.
Driving around Jamaica was seriously so much fun, getting to see the beautiful colonial architecture and sights was exactly the type of experience we try to have on our trips. Then rafting down the Martha Brae River was the perfect end to the afternoon where we got to just enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Dining at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica
Obviously as an all-inclusive, Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica offers guests pretty much whatever they want in terms of dining. One night we went to Bombay, the Indian cuisines restaurant and the other we went to Royal Thai, which obviously focuses on Thai inspired cuisine. As for jerk chicken, we got to experience an authentic jerk chicken shack as part of our Mini Routes excursions. We would love to go back to Jamaica to try more authentic dishes, but this was a nice intro to jerk chicken, Jamaican style ox tail and more!
