Why We Chose WordPress.com
I chose WordPress.com to build TheTravelBabies.com because we needed a beautiful, dynamic website presence for our podcast. And WordPress.com makes it extremely easy to quickly setup and launch a website like this so it was a no brainer.
- WordPress.com offers 100s of complimentary themes: We chose the Aquene theme and we absolutely love the look and functionality of the site.
- Once you have the theme chosen, you can fully customize it to fit your business’ needs: For our podcast we needed to have each episode easily embedded on the website and WordPress.com has made that so easy for us to do.
- WordPress.com support is amazing! Whenever I had a question while building this site I was able to ask them for help immediately. For example, I was having a tough time customizing the footer exactly how I wanted it, and the support team was just a chat away.

Our site is built in a similar style to JQLouise.com to keep with our brand. However, we wanted our Travel Babies site to have its own personality and to be focused on all the unique things that a podcast offers. Here is how we laid out the site:
– Home Page: Shows the most recent episodes, shows a little about the hosts, offers some listeners’ testimonials, and links to our social channels.
– Episodes: The episodes page is the one stop shop to listen to all our episodes right on the website.
– About: This is where people can learn more about Juliana and I.
– Listen: Find out all the places where you can listen to Travel Babies.
– Contact Us: Reach out to us for more information on this page.

This plan has given us all the features and functionality that we needed for an engaging, easy-to-use website for our Travel Babies Podcast.
Favorite Parts of the Website
One of my favorite parts about the site is how easy it was to include the actual podcast in the site! Each episode is simply embedded in such a beautiful way and we were able to add each episode with just one click due to the easy-to-use block builder.
Each week when we publish a new episode, we are able to add it to the site with this simple tool and it auto populates on our home page and other areas of the site where we have the “recent episodes” block builder installed. This saves so much time, we only need to add the new episodes to one section of the site, and it gets automatically pulled into several others.
This is just one of the many things that WordPress.com does to make our lives as podcasters and bloggers so much easier! We are absolutely loving our new site.
