Summer is in full swing in Boston right now and as we all know it won’t last for long! So here are 5 things you have to do before summer is over in Boston.
1) Dine on Eataly’s Il Patio
We love dining on patios in the summertime. And one of our favorites is Eataly in the Back Bay. Their spacious Il Patio really evokes a feeling of being in an Italian piazza in the middle of Boston. Enjoy some fresh pasta, Neapolitan pizza and more all in the open air on this gorgeous patio. This summer they have also launched a new program called “Cocktail Collabs For A Cause.” The Senior Beverage Manager, Gregg Guertin, has teamed up with Boston-based content creators to create drinks inspired by their favorite spirits and seasonal flavors.
A portion of the proceeds from each drink sold each month will be donated to a local organization. So, whether you are looking for a place for a dinner with the family or a night out with your friends, be sure to stop by Eataly for a refreshing cocktail and some tasty food.
2) Things to Do in Boston: Walk the Esplanade
One of our favorite afternoon activities is to walk the Esplanade. We are so fortunate to have a world class park like the Esplanade just minutes from downtown Boston that we try to take as many long walks there as we can whenever the weather is nice! In the summertime I love enjoying the stunning sunsets across the Charles River.
3) Explore the Theater District
The Theater District is my neighborhood, we have lived here for 7 years and we love it! The architecture is just amazing. From the Paramount Theater to the Opera House to the Wang Theater, there are so many beautiful historic buildings to admire when you take the time to do so.
4) Things You Need to Do in Boston: Take a Duck Tour
Whenever we have visitors in town, we always take them on a Boston Duck Tour. Leaving from the Prudential Center, the Boston Duck Tours is a fun way to see the sights. The informative and funny tour guides tell you all about Boston while you get to see everything from the open air vehicle—and it even goes in the Charles River so you get an amazing vantage point of both the Boston and Cambridge skylines.
5) Things You Need to Do in Boston: Enjoy Boston Common
Finally, of course you have to enjoy Boston Common and the Public Garden. The Public Garden is one of the most beautiful places in Boston and there is a reason it is so popular for picnics and long walks. In fact, we love to grab some takeout from Eataly and bring it to the public garden to enjoy by the Swan Boats. On a summer evening, this is exactly why we love living in Boston, everything is walkable, so much culture to enjoy, combined with the warm weather is just the perfect evening.
