The holidays are a great time for road trips and weekend trips. For so many on the East Coast, Washington DC is a perfect choice for either. Only an hour-long flight from Boston and a 4-hour drive from New York City, Washington is a smart family-friendly holiday destination. And this year there is all the more reason to visit—Enchant.
Enchant is a holiday light display, winter village, and shopping destination located at the Nationals Park in the heart of DC. Perfect for couples, families, and groups of friends, this is the place to add a little winter wonder into your holiday season.
Where to Stay
When you are visiting DC for Enchant, the place to stay is the Hilton Capitol Hill. Conveniently located near the National Mall, Capitol Hill, and so many of the other attractions in our nation’s capital, the Hilton is a great home base during your time in DC. They are also the preferred hotel partner of Enchant so definitely check them out!
Also, the hotel is only 10 minutes from the Ronald Regan National Airport—so getting in and out of the city is a breeze so you can enjoy more of your time with your family and friends exploring the nation’s capital and all there is to see.
What to Do at Enchant Washington DC
There is so much to do at Enchant. The main attraction is the Light Maze. There is even a fun scavenger hunt that that whole family can participate in, Eddie the mischievous elf has misplaced some very important gifts and he needs help finding them. Everyone gets a card with the clues to what he needs to find, and you can check off each item as you move through the maze, while enjoying all the amazing lights and attractions along the way.
There is also an illuminated ice-skating trail that guests can try out as well!
After exploring the light maze and going ice skating—guests should then move onto the Enchant Eatery and the Enchant Market where you can try some tasty treats and check out some amazing winter gifts made by local artisans.
Finally, all the little ones should get ready to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. Professional photographers are available to snap these memories as well!
