Miami is one of our all-time favorite cities and the best part is we discover something new each time we visit. While we have visited Wynwood many times, we recently had the chance to spend an entire weekend in the neighborhood and discovered some amazing spots worth visiting. Here are 5 reasons to visit Wynwood, Miami this summer!
1) Stay at Sentral Wynwood
Sentral is both a hotel and long-term stay experience. Whether you want to try out a new city with a lease term of six months or more, or just need a place to stay for a few days, Sentral has got you covered. Choose from turnkey apartments furnished with beautiful modern décor, and enjoy amenities like co-working spaces, a rooftop pool, and more! We loved our stay at Sentral because the apartment was so chic, and the location made it so easy to enjoy everything that Wynwood has to offer like dining, shopping, and nightlife!
2) Amazing Wynwood Dining
Wynwood is filled with amazing restaurants. On this recent trip, we tried lots of new places including:
Cafe: @SuiteHabanaCafe
Tacos: @coyotaco
Brunch: @mrbaguettemiami
Lunch: @thefreehold
Dinner: @lechickwynwood
We highly recommend each one of these spots, they were so delicious and in true Miami style, everything was gorgeous, from the spaces to the dishes! Plenty of Instagramable moments everywhere we looked!
3) Wynwood Walls
The famous Wynwood Walls are the epicenter of the Wynwood. This is what started the entire neighborhood’s transformation. The curators seek out inventive street artists to install murals, swapping them out on a rotational basis. This mural is by Kenny Scharf and there are so many amazing murals on display all year round! We did a private tour, and it was so interesting learning about each artist.
4) Plenty of Photo Ops
Even beyond Wynwood walls, there are so many places to take photos in Wynwood so if you are interested in upping your Instagram game this summer, Wynwood is the place for you. The streets are literally covered in art and many of the buildings have murals on them as well. But if you are looking for a studio experience, head to the Original Selfie Museum for lots of photo sets ready and waiting for you!
5) Nightlife
The neighborhood is filled with so many bars and restaurants you are sure to never be bored, but if you want to dance the night away the place to go is La Otra. This a Latin-themed nightclub and it is an absolute blast. Dress to impress and you are bound to have an amazing time!
