Dubai is a distinctive destination. Filled with history, a rich culture, and a unique outlook on the future, it is a must for the serious traveler. While it is 12 hours away from Boston, there is a daily direct flight on Emirates and it can be one of the most luxurious flights you ever take, and you will see why it is worth it as soon as you land.
Getting to Dubai
Getting to Dubai is probably the biggest roadblock to visiting. However, it is not as bad as you may think. The best way to get there is by taking the nonstop from Boston to Dubai on Emirates and for a totally relaxing experience go for the upgrade to Business Class. Known as one of the best business class experiences in the world, prepare to be pampered the whole way there. The food, the service and seating make the expense totally worth it. You will arrive having slept a full 8 hours, well fed and more relaxed than when you started.
Where to stay
Once you get there you will want to arrange a car service via your hotel for the most luxurious way to start the trip. When we visited and stayed at the FIVE Hotel Jumeriah, we were picked up in a Tesla Model X and the driver had FIVE Music playing for us, so we were instantly in a party mood.
There are two totally different area to stay in when you visit Dubai. If you stay in the city, you have access to the most dining and nightlife, however if you stay in the Palm Jumeriah area you have direct beach access. So, it just depends on what you are looking for. FIVE Palm Jumeriah is located right on the beach, and it was just the warm weather escape we needed.
FIVE Hotels Dubai
FIVE Hotels is known as a chic party spot for traveled from all over the world. The highlight of the trip was the Saturday beach party Bohemia. They host international DJs each week, there are dancers walking around performing all day, drinks, food, and hookah available. So, for the serious music lover or the serious party lover this is the place for you.
Dining at FIVE
There is so much dining available on site at FIVE Jumeriah. Whether you want light, fresh beach snacks or if you want a full fine dining experience, it is available. Our favorite place to eat was Maiden on the rooftop. The food and service were impeccable. We can’t wait to return next time we are in Dubai.
