Recipe: Highclere Spring Fling

– 40ml Highclere Castle Gin
– 10ml simple syrup
– 30ml lemon juice (fresh is always best)
– a few cubes of cucumber
– a few leaves of Basil
– club soda/sparkling water 

Muddle together cucumber and basil in a cocktail shaker. Leave the muddled mixture and fill shaker with ice. Add Highclere, simple syrup and lemon juice. Shake the concoction for 15-20 seconds. Strain into cocktail glass and top with sparkling water or club soda.

The American Bar at the Stafford has a whole menu filled with Negronis, so if you like Negronis this is the place for you. But be warned, these things pack a punch! Look for the “Art of the Negroni” section and you have plenty to choose from!
