The Mandarin Oriental Canouan is a luxurious haven nestled on the stunning Caribbean island of Canouan. Known for its unparalleled beauty and exclusivity, the resort offers a unique blend of world-class amenities and natural splendor in the Grenadines.
Accommodations at the Mandarin Oriental Canouan
Perched on a hillside overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the Mandarin Oriental Canouan boasts a collection of lavish villas and suites that provide guests with breathtaking ocean views and ultimate privacy. Each accommodation is elegantly designed, featuring a harmonious fusion of modern aesthetics and authentic Caribbean charm. With meticulous attention to detail, the resort ensures that every aspect of a guest’s stay is exceptional.
Dining
The resort’s commitment to culinary excellence is reflected in its dining options. Starting with breakfast on the beach to a gourmet dinner in the evening, the emphasis on using fresh, local ingredients adds an authentic touch to the dining experience. We loved trying the local Caribbean inspired dishes whenever we had the chance and got addicted to the eggs benedict each morning paired with a fresh green juice.
The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental Canouan
For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the resort’s spa offers a range of holistic treatments inspired by traditional Caribbean therapies. The spa’s serene setting, coupled with skilled therapists, makes for a magical experience. When you arrive to the spa you feel as if you are somewhere in a far-off island, because you pretty much are! And when I walked into the treatment room my therapist asked if I wanted to music or just the sound of the ocean and of course I opted to just listen to the ocean! The open-air treatment rooms are truly what a luxury tropical vacation is all about so definitely book a massage or a facial, they are worth it!
What to do on Canouan
The resort features an 18-hole championship golf course that winds through lush landscapes and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Water enthusiasts can partake in an array of activities, including snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing, in the pristine turquoise waters surrounding the island. We actually took a catamaran to an island that was a filming location in Pirates of the Caribbean, and we saw sea turtles and lots of other amazing sea life!
In essence, the Mandarin Oriental Canouan hotel is a secluded paradise that encapsulates the essence of luxurious natural beauty. The hotel offers a perfect blend of opulence, relaxation, and adventure, making it a destination that I will be thinking about for a long time!
