Why do you love Boston?

One of the things that truly sets Boston apart is its incredible mix of history and modernity. It’s like walking through time, with cobblestone streets leading to cutting-edge innovation hubs. And let’s not forget the people here—they’re some of the brightest minds you’ll find anywhere. Plus, have you seen Boston in every season? It’s absolutely stunning, whether it’s the colors of fall or the snowfall in the winter. Each season brings out a different side of this beautiful city.

Tell us about a hidden gem at the Liberty hotel.

clink boston

Let me tell you about our hidden gem at The Liberty—it’s CLINK. This place never fails to impress. Executive Chef Daniel Kenney pours his heart and soul into every dish, sourcing the freshest North Atlantic seafood and seasonal New England ingredients. The menu is a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, with global influences. They also provide special dinner experiences with their Dinner Series throughout the year that showcase not only the food, but compliments different liquor pairings. Guests can dine in elegant historic surroundings adorned with original jailhouse artifacts, including wrought-iron bars and exposed brick walls, creating a one-of-a-kind ambiance that pays homage to the building’s storied past.

What is your favorite restaurant in the neighborhood?

scampo

Now, when it comes to dining nearby, SCAMPO is a must-visit. Chef Lydia Shire’s culinary creations are out of this world, drawing on flavors from the Mediterranean and Middle East. But if you’re in the mood for a stroll, walk down Charles Street and pop into Toscano’s to enjoy traditional Tuscan meals and if you want something a bit more casual, you can’t go wrong if you stop at Fig’s for some of the best thin-crusted pizza you’ll ever taste.

What is your favorite part about Boston in the warmer months?

Boston comes alive during the Spring and Summer months. I love nothing more than taking a leisurely stroll down Charles Street, soaking in the charm of the historic neighborhood. And of course, you can’t visit Boston in the spring without spending some time in the Boston Common and Public Garden. It’s like stepping into a postcard. Also, walking down the Charles River Esplanade is truly refreshing and has some wonderful sunset views.

What about the wintertime?

When winter rolls around, there’s nothing quite like cozying up with a nice old fashioned at The Liberty Bar before heading over to TD Garden for a Celtics or Bruins game. The energy in the arena is electric, and it’s truly a Boston experience you won’t forget.
