Chestnut Hill: Set to open its doors at The Street Chestnut Hill, 55 Boylston Street, just in time for Spring.

Seaport: A summer retreat awaits at 131 Seaport Blvd, promising cool relief this year.

Harvard Square: Adding to the fall festivities, the third location will grace 1 Brattle Square, welcoming visitors just in time for the Head of the Charles Regatta.

Ben Van Leeuwen, the co-founder and CEO, expressed his excitement about the brand’s expansion into Boston, “We love Boston and are honored to become part of the amazing culinary scene here. What drew us to Boston is the incredible architectural beauty, rich history and European style walkability and density. We’re excited to get to know the Chestnut Hill, Seaport and Harvard Square communities even more, and share good ice cream that makes you feel good.”

Van Leeuwen offers an extensive menu featuring over 30 signature flavors. From classics like Vanilla Bean, honored as the best vanilla ice cream by The New York Times/Wirecutter, to adventurous concoctions such as Honeycomb, Pistachio sourced from Mount Etna in Sicily, and Marionberry Cheesecake made with berries from Oregon farm partner Stahlbush Island Farms, the brand promises a delightful experience with every scoop.

In addition to its dairy offerings, Van Leeuwen takes pride in its vegan options, boasting flavors like Banana Bread Pudding, Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb, and Strawberry Shortcake. The brand’s commitment to quality extends to its vegan treats, emphasizing that it’s not just “vegan ice cream,” but rather good ice cream that happens to be vegan.

Van Leeuwen’s journey began in 2008 as a humble yellow scoop truck on the streets of NYC, founded by Ben Van Leeuwen, Pete Van Leeuwen, and Laura O’Neill. Since then, it has expanded to over 50 stores across the United States and recently opened its first international scoop shop in Singapore. Their products are also available in grocery stores nationwide, including Stop & Shop and Whole Foods.
