The action kicks off with a practice round on Friday, June 7th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, setting the stage for the main event on Saturday, June 8th. From noon until 4:00 PM, spectators will gather atop the rooftop of the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston (ICA) in the Seaport to witness the world’s best cliff divers defy gravity.
The 15th season of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series welcomes the dawn of a new era with the addition of four new athletes to its roster of permanent divers. Among them are former wildcard athlete Simone Leathead (CAN) and Colombia’s Maria Paula Quintero, bringing fresh talent and excitement to the women’s category. Mexico’s Jonathan Paredes, the 2017 overall champion, makes a triumphant return to compete alongside the world’s elite, joined by former wildcard athlete Carlos Gimeno (ESP), who clinched third place overall last season.
Representing the USA with pride are five athletes, including Red Bull athlete Ellie Smart and Meili Carpenter in the women’s category, along with wildcard athlete Kaylea Arnett. In the men’s event, James Lichtenstein competes as a permanent diver, while David Colturi takes to the platform as a wildcard contender.
With a roster boasting over 100 athletes and spanning 15 seasons, the 2024 competition promises to push the boundaries of human potential.
