Boston just got a serious style upgrade. Miami-based artisanal eyewear brand Tejesta has officially opened its first brick-and-mortar concept store on Newbury Street, marking a bold new chapter for the design-forward label known for blending American West ruggedness with Art Deco elegance.
Located at 250 Newbury Street, the sleek, gallery-like space is more than just a retail store—it’s an immersive brand experience. Customers can explore Tejesta’s full line of sunglasses and optical frames, including limited-edition styles exclusive to the Boston location. And thanks to a creative partnership with SOMA Optical, visitors also benefit from a personalized shopping experience guided by Boston’s top eyewear experts.
“Opening our first physical space on Newbury Street is a huge step for Tejesta,” said Jonathan Oberti, Tejesta’s founder. “Boston’s blend of global influence, academic energy, and artistic depth makes it the perfect home for our first concept store.”
In true Tejesta fashion, the store is more than just beautiful—it’s thoughtful. A curated multi-use lounge area invites guests to slow down and sink into the brand’s creative world. Anchored by a striking commissioned work from Los Angeles-based artist Wes Lang, the space features hand-selected scents, tactile objects, and artistic elements that reflect the design DNA of the brand.
SOMA Optical’s Christos Karabelas echoed the synergy between the two brands: “This collaboration felt perfectly aligned. Jonathan and I share a creative vision, and it’s an honor to help bring this space to life.”
To celebrate the launch, Tejesta is hosting an opening event on Friday, June 7, from 4–9 PM at the store. Guests can mingle with the team, try on the latest frames, and enjoy live music, drinks, and bites while soaking in the artistry and craftsmanship behind each piece.
From custom-made acetate sourced from Italy and Japan to newly developed lightweight titanium frames, Tejesta’s commitment to small-batch, high-quality production is at the heart of its identity. Each pair is designed to be wearable art—bold, expressive, and built to last.
Whether you’re looking to elevate your eyewear game or just want to explore one of Boston’s most stylish new destinations, Tejesta’s debut flagship is worth the visit.
