We are officially in the middle of ski season! Have you hit the slopes yet? Deer Valley has already racked up 66’’ of base across the resort. Here are 5 reasons why you should ski Deer Valley.
1) The Powder at Deer Valley
Utah is known for the “Greatest Snow on Earth” and they aren’t kidding. Utah ski resorts are known for their powder days and consistently have some of the best skiing conditions in North America. And the great thing about Deer Valley in particular is that no matter your ski ability, you can explore and enjoy the mountain. There are beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert runs off of most of the lifts and throughout the mountain. So, no matter if this is your first season on skis or your 20th, you can have a great time.
2) The Dining
Deer Valley is also known for its amazing dining options. From fine dining to slopeside snacks, Deer Valley has something for everyone. Be sure to check out the Royal Street Café for lunch and Mariposa for dinner. Royal Street Café is located mid mountain near the Silver Lake Lodge and is known for their elevated classics. Some can’t miss dishes are: their famous “Crab Tower”, tuna tacos, burger and selection of sandwiches.
Also, be sure to try their homemade ice cream sandwiches for dessert. They also have a range of local beers and craft cocktails on the menu as well. Mariposa is one of the most well-known restaurants on the mountain, it is the place to treat yourselves to a nice dinner after a long day of skiing. Order a bottle of wine, enjoy their perfectly prepared bison filet and savor the evening.

3) Ski Butlers
Another reason why you need to visit Deer Valley is Ski Butlers. Their door-to-door service makes the process for renting skis as easy as can be. They literally come to your hotel room with ski, boot and other equipment options including helmets and goggles if you need them.
Their team of experts gets you fitted and are available if the conditions change or if you’d like to change your ski selection throughout your visit. They even promise to change out your skis within an hour of your request!
4) The Charm of Deer Valley
Deer Valley is one of the chicest places to ski. From the picturesque drive up the mountain through the stately homes, to the renowned Sundance Film Festival, to the stylish hotels dotting the slopes, Deer Valley is a place to filled with charm. The Goldener Hirsch Inn, located mid mountain, is a way to escape to the Alps, without ever needing your passport. 5) Skiing with the Pros
Deer Valley is of course also an amazing place to ski because of its heritage. Guests on the mountain can choose to ski with one of seven Olympic skiers. Deer Valley Resort’s Ambassador of Skiing, Heidi Voelker, runs a program called, “Ski with a Champion”, where guests can sign up to explore the mountain with some of the best skiers out there who know the mountain like the back of their hand. We had so much fun skiing with Heidi, she took us on every lift and showed the best way to see the most of the mountain in one day.
