Boston comes alive in May, the flowers are blooming, the trees finally have their leaves and the patios are officially open! And in celebration of hitting 50,000 followers on Instagram, I wanted to share some of my top picks for my hometown of Boston for the end of month. Here are 5 things you have to do right now in Boston.
Things to do in Boston – Dine at Tapestry
One of my favorite new openings, Tapestry is a cozy new neighborhood hangout in Fenway. Serving up some tasty pizzas, crunchy salads and other amazing creations, Tapestry delivers on both flavor and ambiance.
And the service is delightfully friendly and attentive. If you are looking for something different before or after a game, this is the spot for you; they also have a nice little patio too! A definite must!
Things to do in Boston – See the Boston Ballet
Ballet season is wrapping up, so if you want to catch a little culture before the show hits the road, get your tickets for either “Classic Balanchine” (May 17th-June 9th) or La Sylphide (May 24th-June 10th) before it’s too late!
A night a Boston Ballet is so much fun. The gorgeous and historic, Boston Opera House is worth the trip all on its own, and that combined with the talent of the dancers, makes for a chic night out. For more information, be sure to head to https://www.bostonballet.org/.
Go on a Picnic
When you live in New England it’s important to cherish the sunny days, because we have all paid our dues in snowy and rainy ones. And this time of year, it is just peak picnic season, not too hot, the flowers are in bloom and the days are getting longer.
So grab a few friends, some bites and drinks and head outside! Willow Tree Farm makes some delicious chicken salads that are just perfect for the impromptu picnic. All you need are some chips, lemonade and Willow Tree and you’ve got the perfect afternoon. Personally, I’m currently obsessed with the Buffalo flavor!
Have a Movie Date
Sometimes the best things in life are simple, and what’s more relaxing than a good old movie date? So why not head over to Showcase Cinemas and see the first big blockbuster of the summer, Deadpool!
It just came out last weekend, so don’t miss out and head into one of the fabulous Showcase locations around Massachusetts this weekend! Fun fact, did you know that Showcase also has a special series called “Event Cinema”? Check out their schedule of special screenings, opening nights and other fun events!
Enjoy Patio Season at ArtBar
Last but not least, if you are in town this Memorial Day Weekend, you have to head across the Charles to Cambridge to check out the new and improved ArtBar at the Royal Sonesta Hotel! The food and the atmosphere are great. Dishes like the tuna tartare and the fish tacos just scream summer!
And talk about patio season, their patio overlooks Boston’s gorgeous skyline. So come in for brunch or dinner and just have a great time!
This post was created in partnership with Willow Tree Farm and Showcase Cinemas.
