September is always a time for new beginnings, the end of summer, the start of fall, the new school year and so much more. Even though I graduated from college a few years ago, I still think of September as a time of new beginnings—here are a few things I am looking forward to this month.
1) Writing for the Boston Herald
I’m so excited that I can officially announce this, I am the Boston Herald’s newest food writer. I will be covering anything food related in Boston. From events to restaurant openings to recipes from some of my favorite chefs, I can’t wait to dig into our city’s amazing food scene even more than I did with Boston Food Crawls! You’ll start seeing my articles in print and online every week!
2) Getting Organized
Whether it was getting ready for the school year or more recently, getting re-energized after the long summer work-wise, September has always been my time to get organized. And this year I am doing so with a little help from Office Depot. Office Depot is a one stop shop for all your school supply and office supply needs. I recently picked up this cute sequined notebook, TUL® Student Planner, and these amazing gel pens, so that I can be ready to jot down notes for a story anytime. Where were the sequined notebooks when I was in school?
3) Planning Fall Getaways
Fall is such an amazing time in New England and so I can’t wait for all my upcoming trips. So far I have a weekend planned at the Tops’l Farm in Waldoboro, ME, a Boston staycation and a glamping trip to Sandy Pines. But I can’t wait to plan even more weekend getaways. And I am so excited to start putting all my upcoming trips into my TUL® Student Planner, adults need to plan out their life too! When I was in college my planner was my life and now that I am a twenty-something travel blogger and writer, it still is! There are so many details that go into planning a trip that I need a place to keep track of them all and I love the feel of a physical planner. And this one is just too cute, so I can’t wait to fill it will all my adventures over the coming months.
4) Getting Outside
September is one of the most beautiful months in Massachusetts, so I just can’t wait to get outside after this hot and humid summer that we have had!
5) Planning More Events for Boston Food Crawls
I have some fun things planned for Boston Food Crawls, including a book signing at Shake the Tree on September 13th, so be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter for all the latest announcements!
And just like planning trips, planning events are all about the to-do list. And I am so excited to use my new sequined notebook to jot down my many to-do lists at my office and on-the-go. I’m always running to meetings with brands, hotels and restaurants and why can’t I be fun and professional? Office Depot has all the school and office supplies that you need this fall!
