Staying home has been tough for us. We’re used to being out in the world, exploring, meeting new people and seeing new things. Being stuck at home for eight weeks has not been fun. We can’t wait to hop on the next plane as soon as we can. But the silver lining is that we have had plenty of time to dream about all the places we can’t wait to visit once this is over! We’ll be doing a whole blog series over the next few weeks on our travel plans for when the COVID-19 pandemic ends. First up in our “Travel Plans” series is the “3 Places We Can’t Wait to Visit Again.”
1) South of France
The South of France has to be our favorite summertime destination of all. The beaches, the sunshine and the food just make the perfect holiday. Cannes, St. Tropez and Monaco are our favorite cities to visit and I can assure you that once this is over, we will be jetting there as soon as possible. A few hotels that we can’t wait to stay in are: the Carlton in Cannes, Pan Dei Palais in St. Tropez and the Metropole in Monaco.
Waking up to the sights and sounds of the Mediterranean, enjoying a Cappuccino at a café and dining with a view of the harbor lit up at night is just a dream—especially now. 2) Hong Kong
Our last international trip before the pandemic was to Hong Kong. This was one of our favorite trips ever! Hong Kong has it all—Michelin Starred restaurants on every corner, high end shopping and one of the most rich cultures we have ever experienced.

The blend of East and West is so perfect, we can’t wait to go back. Our stay at the brand-new St. Regis in Wan Chai was everything we hoped it would be. The accommodations, the pool, the food and the service was just exceptional. The whole trip was certainly a highlight, read all about it in our city guide to Hong Kong.
3) Nantucket
And finally, a little closer to home we are so looking forward to Nantucket this summer. We were planning on heading down this spring for the annual ‘Daffy Weekend’, but of course that was cancelled due to COVID-19. So, it has been on our minds this entire time. Nantucket is such a special place for New Englanders, we suffer all winter long, but a summertime filled with rose and lobster rolls, while overlooking the Atlantic makes it all worth it.
