A whole new type of hotel is coming to Cancun. Garza Blanca Cancun soft-opened earlier this summer and is set for a grand opening this fall. However, we were lucky enough to have visited earlier this year for a sneak peek of all the amazing things to come.

Where is Garza Blanca Cancun?
Garza Blanca Cancun is located in northern Cancun, so unlike the mega-resorts located on the Peninsula it is far from the hustle and bustle, so it feels like it is in a far-off oasis, rather than in a popular tourist area—all the while being just as convenient and easy to get to as the other popular hotels in the region. From Boston, there are plenty of direct flights on JetBlue and other carriers—but as you guys know we are big JetBlue fans so we take advantage of our Mosaic status whenever we can so of course when we visited, we flew JetBlue from Boston to Cancun.
The Accommodations at Garza Blanca Cancun
One of the major perks of staying at the Garza Blanca is that the rooms are very large! So, no matter your room type you will have plenty of space to spread out. This starts from the junior suites on the lower levels, all the way up to the 3-4 bedroom villas on the top floors. This will be the place to go with your friends this fall, so start planning with the besties.
Be sure to opt for an ocean view room though, the view of the ocean is stunning so you will want to be able to take full advantage of this. One of our favorite things was waking up to the sights and sounds of the ocean from our balcony every day!
Dining
Since Garza is an all-inclusive, food is a big part of the stay. But never fear, unlike many other all inclusives, they have taken the food seriously.
Executive Chef Tiago Aceituno knows what he is doing. Each restaurant concept focuses on fresh ingredients expertly prepared. There will be some amazing dining concepts when the property is fully open, but we got to try lots of local Mexican cuisine when we visited, and we were not disappointed. We even got to have a beautiful picnic on the beach!
What to Do
There is so much you can do here, but the main thing is enjoying the sand and sun! So, plan to spend plenty of time by the pool or beach. There is so much room you won’t feel crowded, and the private beach is especially spacious as well. However, there are plenty of activities to participate in as well if you want to change things up. Perhaps a tequila tasting? We did one and it was a blast, especially because they have the cutest tequila truck located right on the beach.
