As the temperatures start to drop in the Northeast, it is time to start planning those sun and sand winter getaways. One place that you must add to your list this year is the Four Seasons Punta Mita. Keep reading to find out why you need to plan a winter getaway to the Four Seasons Punta Mita.
Getting There
The Four Seasons Punta Mita is accessible via the Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta. Located on Mexico’s West Coast, Punta Mita is a 1,500-acre private peninsula. Winter is the dry season in Punta Mita, so even though it can be a bit of a trek to get there from the East Coast, once you are there you will enjoy sunny days and warm nights—and of course the sights and sounds of the crashing waves of the Pacific.
Accommodations at the Four Seasons Punta Mita
While there is so much that makes the Four Seasons Punta Mita a special destination, the uniqueness of this property lies in the abundance of water views. There are 177 casita-style guest rooms, 31 suites, and 32 residences and villas and they all come with balconies or terraces, so you can enjoy the views in your own private space.
The views are made even more stunning thanks to the rock formations just yards from the shoreline. So not only do you get dramatic views, but you have sandy beaches and safe swimming areas. We recommend opting for either a beachfront casita or an oceanfront casita.
What to Do At the Four Seasons
There is so much to do at the Four Seasons Punta Mita. And if you visit in the winter, you will not only be able to luxuriate in the warm sunshine on the beautiful beaches, but you also have so many unique experiences to try as well. One thing that the Four Seasons is really good at is creating special activities for guests to enjoy to soak up the local culture right there at the resort.
One that you have to sign up for is the “catch of the day” experience. Guests are able to see the fishermen bring in the day’s fish right from the ocean and then see the chef explain all the varieties of fish and you can even pick out your lunch straight from the ocean.
Dining in Punta Mita
When it comes to dining, the Four Seasons Punta Mita has plenty of options as well. The signature restaurant is called Dos Catrinas, which is where you will find local Mexican cuisine, is open all day. And at night, you can also go upstairs to the Dos Catrinas Bar to enjoy a tequila tasting while you watch the sunset.
Of course, you can also order food at the beach or the pool. These menus feature plenty of tasty things like tacos, ceviche, and margaritas all served directly to your cabana or beach chair. Finally, if you are in the mood for something a little different head to Aramara for Asian fusion cuisine.
