Six Senses announced a new hotel in Wadi Safar, located west of Diriyah and northwest of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Six Senses Wadi Safar is set to open in 2026, promising a blend of Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural tradition and modern creative sophistication in line with the Six Senses brand.
New Global Landmark in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Six Senses Wadi Safar, situated 25 miles from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and 15 minutes from the city, will offer 80 guest rooms across five clusters atop a hill, providing panoramic views of the valley. The resort, embodying traditional Najdi-style architecture, combines a sense of cultural heritage with contemporary luxury.
Part of the 23-square-mile gated Wadi Safar community, Six Senses Wadi Safar is a luxurious destination for both Saudi society and international visitors. The resort and its amenities, set against a backdrop of natural beauty, align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, fostering a vibrant society and sustainable economy through various events and initiatives.
Perfect for Cultural Retreats and Wellness Breaks
Spanning 49 acres, Six Senses Wadi Safar will offer guest accommodations that promise security and seclusion. It’s an ideal location for special events, historical exploration, and wellness retreats, accessible within two hours from the six GCC countries.
The Six Senses Spa will be a haven for sensory experiences, featuring suites for sight and touch, treatment rooms, a hammam, a salon, a gym and studio, and a yoga studio. With a range of programs from yoga to biohacking, guests will have an array of wellness options.
The resort will reflect the region’s historical significance as an ancient trade and pilgrimage route. Restaurants at Six Senses Wadi Safar will extend traditional hospitality, offering seasonal sharing plates. Facilities include a main restaurant, a signature restaurant, a grill, and a brew bar, along with a multi-use events space and an artisan-style boutique.
Family-oriented activities will be part of the Grow With Six Senses program, featuring traditional crafts and an outdoor cinema. The Earth Lab will introduce guests to desert conservation.
Ambitious Heritage Restoration Project
The Experience Center at Six Senses Wadi Safar will offer access to the nearby At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site in Diriyah, showcasing Saudi history in open-air museums. Diriyah, once a small oasis, evolved into a cultural and commercial hub. The At-Turaif district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is undergoing a meticulous heritage development project.
Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company, states: “Diriyah presents a unique opportunity for hospitality operators to redefine guest experiences within a rich cultural context. We are thrilled to have Six Senses in our portfolio and look forward to welcoming global guests to its sumptuous offerings.”
