Cannes is one of our all-time favorite destinations and should be on your summer bucket list 2024. Between the sunshine, the amazing views and the Mediterranean culture, there is little else to ask for when it comes to a go-to holiday spot. And when you factor in the level of accessibility that the region now has thanks to lots of new routes from major carriers in North America, there should not be much holding you back from adding Cannes to your list this year.

Canopy Cannes
The Canopy Hilton Cannes is located at the tip of the Old Port, and has 129 rooms and even has 2 onsite dining spots. The hotel recently opened after a thorough reimagining from its prior life as another hotel.
The convenient location at the tip of the Old Port gives guests a great alternative to the ultra-luxe hotels on the Croisette. This area is filled with locals, sailors, fishermen and really feels like Cannes in the old days in the best way possible. But don’t worry there is still plenty of glamour at the hotel too!
The rooms
The rooms are fresh, simple and modern. The beds are comfortable and lots of rooms have balconies with views of the Mediterranean and Old Port, so if you want to just lounge in private you can do so!
The rooftop at the Canopy Cannes
The can’t miss attraction is the rooftop restaurant, Marea. Serving up craft cocktails and elegant seafood focused dishes start with a sundowner on the deck overlooking the Sea and then come inside for a romantic dinner overlooking the port.
Surprisingly, there are only a few rooftop restaurants in town, and this is one of the best for sure! So, whether you are staying at the hotel or not, be sure to book a table at Marea during your time in Cannes.
Café Crème
Café Crème is the lobby level coffee shop and “Brunch Club”, which is another delight! The staff is top notch, just like the coffees and snacks. This is the type of place where you can get some work done while on vacation and not feel like you are wasting the day—you can literally enjoy the views of the boats in the harbor while working on your computer and sipping an iced coffee, which is another rare opportunity in the South of France.
