As a brunch enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for unique dining experiences that combine delicious food with a fun atmosphere. So, when I heard about Moxies’ weekend brunch, I knew I had to experience it for myself. Nestled in the Seaport and boasting views of Boston Harbor, Moxies exudes an upscale, yet casual vibe that immediately drew me in.
Stepping into Moxies Boston for brunch, I was greeted by an inviting ambiance, complete with sleek design details and lots of natural light. I perused the brunch menu curated by Executive Chef Brandon Thordarson, which was a delightful mix of modern American dishes and timeless brunch favorites, each promising to tantalize my taste buds. After some deliberation, we decided to start with the Smoked Salmon Bagel.
The dish arrived beautifully presented, with a generous portion of smoked salmon nestled atop a perfectly toasted bagel, accompanied by creamy avocado, tangy cream cheese, and a soft-boiled egg. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the richness of the salmon balanced by the freshness of the avocado and the creaminess of the egg.
Next, I couldn’t resist trying the Pancetta and Aged White Cheddar Benedict, a classic brunch dish with a Moxies twist. The combination of crispy pancetta, sharp cheddar, and perfectly poached eggs was a revelation, especially when paired with the accompanying home fries and fresh fruit.
For my main course, I opted for the Brunch Burger, drawn in by its promise of juicy beef, crispy bacon, and a sunny-side-up egg. The first bite was pure bliss, with the flavors melding together in perfect harmony and the egg yolk oozing deliciously over the tender beef patty. Served with a side of crispy home fries, it was the ultimate comfort food done in a gourmet fashion.
Of course, no brunch would be complete without a cocktail, and Moxies did not disappoint. We opted for some mimosas.
But what truly elevated the experience was indulging in a bottle of cava for a plethora of mimosas, served with a delightful blend of orange and mango juice. With each sip, the bubbles danced on my palate and the fruity flavors tantalized my taste buds. And we saved a little room for dessert which was a spin on a family recipe from the chef and it was truly delicious.
As I sat back and savored the last few bites of my brunch, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the experience. We really do have so many great options in the Seaport these days. Whether you’re a brunch aficionado or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in Boston’s Seaport, Moxies is a must-try.
