5 Places You Need to Visit this Spring

Springtime is my favorite time to travel. The sun is warm, the crowds are small and the air is fresh! For many parts of the world, Spring is when destinations shine! Here are 5 places you just have to visit this Spring!

#1 Boston

Yes, that’s right my hometown of Boston! Boston comes alive in the Spring, with the snow melted (or at least melting), this walkable city starts to buzz again. Opening Day for the Red Sox, Marathon Monday, the Swan Boats, this is Boston’s season! Heading over to Boylston Street to watch the runners cross the finish line is probably my favorite thing to do in April in Boston and I’m so excited to say that I am running this year! So come cheer me on!

#2 Cannes

The next place that is always on my mind in the Spring is the South of France. May in Cannes is the definition of delightful. No crowds (well when the Film Festival isn’t going on!), 75-degree weather and not a cloud in the sky is literally heaven. The Carlton is just calling my name in May.

#3 The Italian Lakes

The Italian Lakes are flooded with crowds come summer, so why not beat them to the punch and luxuriate in George Clooney’s hood in peace? Lake Como, Garda and Maggiore are all filled with so many hidden gems.

My past blog posts (linked above) dig into how we explored them last year!

#4 Germany

Yes, I know Germany is a huge place, but trust me on this one. Germany was made for a Springtime roadtrip. When we picked up our BMW M2 last year in Munich we took it for a roadtrip through Europe and the weather at the end of April is perfect for castle hopping on Germany’s Castle Road!

#5 Portland, ME

Portland is a certified foodie haven. And when the weather is a comfortable 50 or 60 degrees, the city was just meant for exploring on foot. And what a better way to wander through its many restaurants? We recommend defiantly adding Honey Paw, Duckfat and Pan Mei Miyake to your restaurant list, and Allagash, Shipyard and Bissell Brothers to your craft beer crawl!
