I love visiting Philly in the fall, so much so that I have the past 3 years in a row! This time around I headed down there to check out the food and street art scene! Here is my guide to Philly in the fall!
Where to Stay in Philly
On this trip I was fortunate enough to stay at the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia. With the best location in town, the Ritz is located right next to city hall. When you arrive you are greeted with a grand entrance and friendly staff. And you will be impressed by the sweeping views of downtown Philadelphia once you head up to your room!
Everything is top notch, just as you would expect from a Ritz Carlton, from the bath products, the rooms and the service.
And after a day of exploring, relaxing at the lobby bar with one of their craft cocktails is a must.

For anyone like me who loves exploring food and art scenes here are a few places you can’t miss! First up, let’s check out a few coffee shops.
Elixir Coffee Roasters: Just off Walnut Street and only a 5-7 minute walk from the Ritz, this was an amazing little café to grab an Oat Milk Latte.
P.S. & Co: I go here every time I visit Philly. With a menu filled with delightfully healthy dishes like acai bowls, smoothies and sandwiches, P.S. & Co. is a satisfying way to dine out healthily in Philly.
Ultimo Coffee: After a nice stroll through Rittenhouse Square, you’ll find Ultimo, which is a bright coffee shops serving up some creamy chai lattes and tasty pastries.
After your café crawl it’s time to hit some public art. There are so many amazing murals throughout the city. We found this geometric marvel in a parking lot on Race Street. For more on the city’s mural arts program check it out.
And after that we headed to the most magical place in all of Philly, the Philly Magic Gardens. This massive sculpture took the artist 17 years to build. This mosaicked masterpiece is the largest piece of public art that I’ve ever been able to walk through and interact with!
Dining in Philly
After you have explored the city’s cafés to your heart’s content, it’s time for a full meal. Here are a few places worth checking out.
First up is of course Aqimero at the Ritz. An amazing Latin fusion restaurant, Aqimero delivers in both class, taste and atmosphere. Continuing with that Ritz Carlton level of service, you are treated like royalty as soon as you walk in. The menu offers some amazing dishes, plated with care and a cocktail menu that is sure to impress. Everything from the tacos to the sushi rolls are just delectable.
Next, if you are a fan of Asian fusion cuisine the spot to visit in Center City is Double Knot. We had the chef’s tasting menu, so we got to try a little bit of everything.
And finally, back to Latin cuisine, head to Alma de Cuba, also located in Center City.
