Fortunately, the silver lining to this situation has been the creation of hundreds of new restaurant patios in Massachusetts. Boston in particular now has more patios than ever before and we are so happy to see the patios Downtown buzzing once again. In this blog post, we rounded up a few of our favorite Downtown Boston patios that you have to visit before the summer is over! Read on to check them out!
Downtown Boston Restaurant Patios
SIP Boston
SIP has always had a lovely spacious patio, but for downtown residents like us, this patio has taken on a whole other meaning these days. The sights and sounds of a bustling restaurant are a lifeline for so many who were isolated in this part of the city throughout the lockdown. SIP has a fun menu that can please a crowd so head in for their tasty sushi or their savory flatbreads and fun cocktails. And until the end of the month they are offering any table that spends $25 or more a $25 gift card to use on their next visit.
‘MAST’s Historic Downtown Boston Patio
Many people do not know that Downtown Boston is home to Massachusetts’ only certified “Vera Pizza Napoletana”, which is an official certification from Naples, i.e. the heart of Italian pizza.
Located on Province Street, ‘MAST has also always been fortunate to have an amazing off-street patio. This 2nd level patio looks over Province and Bromfield Streets and gives guests both privacy and comfort. Know that you can enjoy their authentic Napoletana cuisine in comfort. The historic location and the stunning view of Millennium Tower makes for a spectacular blend of old and new.
George Howell at the Godfrey Hotel
A welcome new addition to the neighborhood is George Howell’s sidewalk patio. Located in the Godfrey Hotel, George Howell has been a chic part of the neighborhood for a few years, but now guests can enjoy their signature coffee outdoors.
And once again not only does the patio give guests an increased level of peace of mind, but it also a welcome injection of life back into the neighborhood during the dog days of summer.
Roche Brothers Downtown Crossing Patio
A sight for sore eyes was certainly the return of the Roche Brothers patio in the heart of Downtown Crossing. When Roche Brothers opened a few years ago, the team made an effort to give locals and visitors a great place to sit and people watch as they indulged on snacks or drinks from the grocery store. This spacious patio is another great reminder that Downtown Crossing offers so much to the heart of Boston. And now is the perfect opportunity for locals to enjoy everything it has to offer without the crowds of tourists usually packing our streets this time of year!
