We recently returned from an amazing trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. One of the highlights of our trip was trying all different kinds of spritzes while we were there. From the classic Aperol Spritz to variations made with Limoncello or Campari, we couldn’t get enough of this refreshing cocktail. It was the perfect drink to enjoy while taking in the stunning views of the coastline.
Aperol Spritz Recipe
The Aperol Spritz is a refreshing and easy-to-make cocktail that has become popular all over the world. We enjoyed the one above at the Hotel Poseidon in Positano by the way, views included! Here’s a simple recipe to make this delicious drink at home:
Ingredients:
• 3 parts Prosecco
• 2 parts Aperol
• 1 part soda water
• Ice
• Orange slice, for garnish
Instructions:
• Fill a large wine glass with ice cubes.
• Pour the Aperol into the glass, followed by the Prosecco and soda water.
• Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
• Garnish with an orange slice.
• Serve and enjoy!
The key to making the perfect Aperol Spritz is to make sure you use the correct proportions of each ingredient. The traditional recipe calls for 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol, and 1 part soda water. However, you can adjust the amounts according to your personal taste. Some people prefer a sweeter cocktail, so they may add a little more Aperol or soda water. Experiment with the ratios until you find the perfect combination for you.
